Terra Luna Classic ranks #49 of 504 cryptocurrencies. On a list that also counts tokens, memecoins, wrapped coins, staked derivatives and stablecoins it appears at #155: 106 of the 154 assets ahead of it are not native coins but tokens or claims. A token is issued on a host blockchain rather than running its own; a claim stands for an asset already counted. Of the 147 non-native assets CoinSpectrum lists above it by market cap, about 53% are claims on other assets, 40% are tokens and 7% are memecoins.

| Premine (allocated at launch) | 0 | 100% of today's supply allocated at launch to founders, a company, a foundation or investors. Measured against the supply before the May 2022 collapse: the original 1B LUNA were allocated at genesis; the hyperinflation that followed diluted, but did not distribute, them. source |
| Fundraising | 0 | Sold by its issuer or insiders: 100% of supply was theirs to sell, 0% sold so far. Terraform Labs sold LUNA from the 1B genesis supply: the 2018 private sales (~$32M, often at 40%+ discounts), the July 2021 $150M ecosystem-fund sale, and LFG's Feb 2022 $1B LUNA sale to Jump/Three Arrows. Units for each are not fully disclosed, but even all 1B genesis LUNA against today's ~6.45T LUNC total supply (May-Jul 2026) is 0.02%, so the share rounds to 0.0. On the pre-collapse 1B basis used for preminePct, the 2018 backer allocation alone was about 26%. Terraform Labs raised $32M in 2018 by selling LUNA to investors (per the SEC complaint; exchanges such as Binance, Huobi, OKEx reported as backers), with discounted purchase agreements; a further $150M ecosystem-fund LUNA sale in July 2021 (Arrington XRP Capital, Pantera, Galaxy Digital, BlockTower). source |
| Developer share (after launch) | 10 | No developer share: every new coin goes to the miners or validators who produce blocks. Terra Classic's x/mint inflation is 0 (min = max = 0); new LUNA arises only from market-module swaps, which go to the swapper. The 50% community_tax applies to fees and the burn tax, not issuance. Before May 2022, part of swap seigniorage was re-minted to oracle rewards and the community pool; that was not quantified but is negligible against today's multi-trillion supply. source |

Twenty criteria, weighted equally. The Cryptocurrency Standards have six sections: sound money qualities (six checks: scarcity, durability, fungibility, divisibility, portability, verifiability), privacy (five checks), scalability (four measures and three features), security (miner pay and seven checks), programmability (token issuance, smart contracts and five checks) and decentralisation (censorship resistance, no central team, who can mint, nodes, holders, premine, fundraising and developer share). Provisional: criteria marked — are not yet measured and are left out of the average. A rating of structure and market depth, not a price forecast or investment advice. Held a security (an investment contract) in SEC v. Terraform Labs, S.D.N.Y.: summary judgment of 28 December 2023, final judgment entered June 2024. The judgment covers the original LUNA, renamed LUNC (Terra Classic) in May 2022, and rejected splitting exchange buyers from direct ones.
The regulator's position, reported as stated, not CoinSpectrum's. Assets nobody has ruled on are left unclassified rather than sorted by a guess.
Terra Luna Classic is #49 among cryptocurrencies and #155 in the market ranking, which lists wrapped coins, staked derivatives, stablecoins and tokens alongside them. CoinSpectrum counts an asset once, and counts only cryptocurrencies: assets with their own blockchain and their own consensus. A wrapped coin, a staked derivative or a stablecoin is a claim on something already counted; a token, memecoin or otherwise, runs on another chain's blocks. All of them are listed, each in its own section, and none is added to the total. The 106 places between Terra Luna Classic's two ranks are held by claims and tokens, not by other networks. The methodology sets out the rule and the counting rule argues for it.
The price above is the median of the exchanges the site reads live, checked every minute and cross-checked against a market snapshot (how market data is gathered). The grade is scored on published criteria, each with its source (the method). The site is independent, nothing on it is a paid placement, and its statements are signed (about CoinSpectrum, the manifesto).
