Artemision
The create surface on Bitcoin Cash — genesis in one transaction. Category, backing rate, founder fee sealed into the covenant the moment it confirms. No upgrade key, no admin. The chain remembers what you chose.
The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus is where the earliest coins were found — Lydian electrum, seventh century BCE, among the first coin-minting sites in history. Artemision marks what this surface is for: the moment a unit of account starts existing. For most of history, a privilege. Here, a function anyone can call.
Ancient Greek coins carried three values in the same object — the metallic, the nominal, and the commercial. Representative currency, then fiat, cut the metallic layer away. A Deviant backed asset (MBA) restores the metallic layer at protocol level: every unit carries its BCH backing inside its own UTXO at a rate sealed at genesis. Redeeming it is spending your own coin. A non-backed asset (NBA) is the honest form of "just a token" — a share, a permit, a bearer instrument without a peg.
What genesis seals — the category (genesis-txid identifier), the backing rate (bits of BCH per unit, immutable), the founder fee (0–5%, mint-only, fixed), and the mint policy (permissionless, baton-gated, or fixed cap). Each is a parameter the chain remembers.
Katalogos
Every asset the wallet can hold, filterable across the backed ↔ non-backed spectrum and by use-case. What you see is what the chain settled — no editorial gate, no promoted rows.
Katalogos is the directory. It reads the wallet's registry and shows every asset it can hold — MBAs at one end of the spectrum, NBAs at the other, each with the parameters the chain has sealed.
Filter by class, filter by use-case (currency, share, points, wrapped), sort by category or backing rate, favourite the ones you follow. Adding happens through Pinax, the registration sheet — paste a JSON definition or fill the form, and the wallet validates the contract addresses and fee against the chain before it lands in your Katalogos. Adding an asset carries a small listing fee (paid through Pinax); the founder pays for genesis.
How Katalogos organises — MBAs · backed (every unit carries its BCH floor, redeemable at the covenant, swappable through Potidaea at the Universal Exchange Rate), NBAs · non-backed (plain CashTokens for shares, points, permits, wrapped foreign coins), Filters & favourites (local-first — your list lives in the wallet, not on a server).
Potidaea
Zero-Counterparty Ocean Deep Liquidity Automated Swap Mechanism on Bitcoin Cash Scripts that operates at fixed rate by consensus. No order book, no liquidity pool, no maker, no slippage. The covenant is the engine.
Every backed asset carries its BCH backing inside its own UTXO at a rate sealed at genesis. To swap, you spend your output — the contract releases the other asset at that same backing rate. No one to match, nothing to quote, no depth to run out of. The mechanism is deterministic, not probabilistic.
Price is a function of genesis constants, not of market participants. Every swap clears at rate A ÷ rate B — the Universal Exchange Rate — derived from the backing rates sealed into each asset's covenant. A one-unit swap and a million-unit swap clear at the identical price. Backing is the liquidity, elastic from the moment an asset exists.
The name — Ποτίδαια. The city of Poseidon. A Corinthian colony founded around 600 BC at the narrowest point of the Pallene peninsula in Chalcidice, northern Greece. Its early coinage was minted featuring Poseidon carrying his trident. Herodotus records the city was saved from the Persian siege of 479 BC by a tsunami, attributed to Poseidon's intervention. Three resonances the name earns at once: coinage, the sea as liquidity, and a city saved by water that answered when it had to. Bitcoin Cash is the liquidity.
Anthemus
Order book plus AMM over one engine. Nostro-Vostro settlement, unified USD on Bitcoin Cash. The venue where the market emerges — price by participants, settlement by covenant.
Anthemus is the decentralized exchange on Bitcoin Cash — a venue for the parts of the economy a covenant can't price alone. Token-class assets, wrapped foreign coins, cross-chain pairs — everything Potidaea cannot. Price emerges from participants; settlement is still on-chain, atomic, non-custodial.
The same covenant backs three surfaces: Swap (instant two-asset exchange via on-chain pool), Exchange (full order book — place a limit, wait for a taker, cancel at will), and Deposit / Withdraw (the rail into unified USD — stablecoins come in as asset × chain pairs, correspondent-settled, and land as unified USD on your Bitcoin Cash address).
Unified USD. USDT, USDC, PYUSD on five chains stop being five different assets — they become one asset, USD, on Bitcoin Cash. The pair matrix collapses: no USDT/USDC price, no USDC-Base vs USDC-Arbitrum price. The pair you trade is EUR/USD or BCH/USD, not the twenty cross-chain variants of each.
One hub, two engines
Agora is the market layer of Deviant. Two engines sit under one roof — Potidaea prices backed assets by the covenant (the mechanism is the price), and Anthemus prices everything else by market emergence. Artemision and Katalogos are the create and discover surfaces that keep both engines fed.
No single mechanism prices every asset well, so Deviant runs both — in one wallet, under one hub.
