Get listed

Apply to list a cryptocurrency, token, exchange, wallet or service on CoinSpectrum. Applying is free, every application is read, and a listing in the ranking is never for sale. What a project is decides where it lands; the application makes sure it is looked at.

What are you applying to list?

Pick the one that fits; the following steps follow the choice. The kinds and where each lands are explained in Where a project lands below.

Pick one to continue.

Identity

The name of the project, its ticker when it has one, and the main website that represents it.

Details

Fields marked with a dot are what the review looks at first. Fill what you know; blanks are fine where a value does not apply.

Contact and links

How to reach you about this application, and any public channels the review can read to confirm the project is active.

Used only to reply about this application.

What happens next

  1. The application gets a reference such as CS-7K4M2Q. Quote it in any follow-up.
  2. It is checked against the rule for its kind: the chain and its explorer for a cryptocurrency, the host chain and contract for a token, the product itself for the rest.
  3. Any question or answer goes to the contact given. An accepted project appears with the next data build.

Where a project lands

Cryptocurrency

Its own base-layer chain and its own consensus, with blocks being produced and a quoting venue the market-data pipeline covers. It enters the ranking and its position follows the data from then on.

Token

Anything issued on a host chain rather than its own: utility tokens, stablecoins, wrapped assets, memecoins. Listed on the tokens pages with its host chain and backing, never added to the cryptocurrency count.

Exchange

Centralised and decentralised venues, ordered by the published methodology in the exchange ranking.

Wallet or service

Wallets, explorers, bridges, payment processors and other tools, listed in the directory for their kind.

The line between the first two is the counting rule: an asset with its own chain and consensus is a cryptocurrency, and any asset that runs on a host blockchain is listed as what it is. Why a token is not a cryptocurrency.

Questions

What an application cannot buy

A place in the cryptocurrency ranking is not for sale, and neither is a rank, a classification or a faster count. Nobody acting for CoinSpectrum asks a project for payment, tokens or an allocation in return for a cryptocurrency listing; a request like that did not come from here. Other directories may carry paid placements, each labelled on its own row. A project can also suggest a topic for a journal feature with Feature suggestion above; features are written on merit, never paid for and never promised.

Is listing on CoinSpectrum free?

Yes. Applying costs nothing, and a cryptocurrency's place in the ranking is never sold. The counting rule and the market data decide where it lands.

Does applying guarantee a listing?

No. An application is a request for review. The rule for the project's kind decides the outcome: a cryptocurrency must have its own base-layer chain and its own consensus, with blocks being produced, and a venue the market-data pipeline covers; a token must name its host chain and contract.

Can a token be listed as a cryptocurrency?

No. A token runs on another chain's consensus, so it is listed on the tokens pages under what it is. If the project later launches a chain of its own, the coin on that chain can apply as a cryptocurrency.

Why is an accepted coin not in the ranking yet?

The ranking is rebuilt from market data, so a coin appears once the pipeline finds it: blocks being produced, a market on a venue the price sources cover, and a snapshot aggregator that carries its price and supply. Liveness is checked at each build. A low-volume row is hidden from the default view, not dropped — signed-in readers can widen the Supply / 24h volume filter to see it.

Someone offered a CoinSpectrum listing for a fee. Is that real?

No. Nobody acting for CoinSpectrum sells cryptocurrency listings, ranks or classifications, or asks for tokens or an allocation. Report the message on X or Telegram.

How is an existing listing corrected?

Apply with Something else, name the row and the field, and link the source that shows the correct value. Reports on X and Telegram work too.
