Moonbeam (GLMR)

Moonbeam is a token. It has no blockchain of its own and no consensus of its own — it rents both from the chains it is issued on, which is why it is listed separately from the cryptocurrencies.

Halt, freeze or reversal, 2022-08-01✗Technical committee put the network into maintenance mode after the Nomad bridge exploit, suspending all user transactions and EVM execution until about 2-3 Aug.
Halt, freeze or reversal, 2023-04-05✗Block production stopped after block 3,291,299 (14:43 UTC) because Referendum 88 turned a scheduled remark into an invalid setHeapPages call; down over an hour until all nodes updated to v0.30.3.
Halt, freeze or reversal, 2026-07-31✗Wound down by its team: Moonbeam announced on 3 Jul 2026 that GLMR would move to Base as an ERC-20 token and the parachain wind down; self-custody holders had to bridge by 31 Jul, and no public node serves the chain since August 2026.

Ten criteria, weighted equally — for a token, the host chain replaces the developer share, the asset class stands in for the consensus ladders, and who can mint more for the Cryptocurrency Standards. Provisional: criteria marked — are not yet measured and are left out of the average. A rating of structure and market depth, not a price forecast or investment advice. Why it is not in the asset count

CoinSpectrum counts an asset once. A token has neither its own blockchain nor its own consensus mechanism, so it fails both of the site's two conditions — it is a thing issued on a chain, and the chain is what is counted. The methodology states the rule, and the argument for it is set out in full.

Listed, not hidden. The point is that it is measured as what it is.
