Two different questions hide in "most profitable to mine". Which chain pays its miners most in total is a question of size. Which coin a particular machine should mine is a question of revenue per hash, and it only compares within one algorithm, because a SHA-256 machine cannot mine RandomX. Both are below, before electricity, which is the miner's own number.
For a given machine, the most profitable coin is the one paying most per unit of hashrate on its algorithm: eCash on SHA-256 ($43.30 a day per PH/s), Zcash on Equihash ($58.89 a day per MH/s), Monero on RandomX ($41.55 a day per MH/s), EthereumPoW on Ethash ($1.22 a day per GH/s). In total, Bitcoin pays its miners the most, $36.5M a day.

Block rewards per day in dollars, divided by the chain's hashrate. Within an algorithm, the top row is where the same machine earns most right now.

Revenue is the block reward times blocks a day times the coin's price, from the latest snapshot; transaction fees are included where the source reports them. Some chains pay part of each block reward to a development fund or to stakers; where the source reports the full reward, miners keep less than shown. Merge-mined chains, whose blocks come from another chain's miners, have no hashrate of their own and are left out of the per-hash tables.
It depends on the machine's algorithm. Today the best revenue per hash is eCash on SHA-256, Zcash on Equihash, Monero on RandomX. Electricity cost decides whether any of them is profitable for a given miner.
Bitcoin, about $36.5M a day to all its miners together, followed by Zcash at $1.8M.
No. A hash on one algorithm costs a different amount of work than on another, so hashrate and revenue per hash only compare between chains that share an algorithm.
